Matt is a long-time Hoosier and successful business leader residing in Carmel. He is a father of three and attends St. Luke Catholic Church in Indianapolis.
A Hoosier since first grade, Matt grew up on the southside of Indianapolis and graduated as valedictorian from Lutheran High School in Indianapolis. He went on to college receiving a Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics from Purdue University in West Lafayette. Matt resides in Carmel with his wife, Diamond, and three children: Nienna, Tommy, and Samantha.
Matt spent 14 years in the hospitality industry - the majority of that time right here in Carmel. He built teams and drove innovation across the organization in subject areas such as analytics, pricing, product, and technology. He is now a solutions consultant for an analytics technology startup.
As a reluctant "politician", Matt has held leadership positions at the local, state, and national level inside the Libertarian Party. He is steadfast in his dedication to the principles of small government through maximizing freedom and fiscal responsibility. Matt has joined the race for Congress to bring innovative ideas and new choices for voters in Indiana's 5th District.
